Field of Dreams | Boho Bridal Inspo

We’ve long heard the term “boho tossed around, namely in the wedding world. By definition, ‘boho’ means: a person who is socially unconventional in a way regarded as characteristic of creative artists; a bohemian.

since we started linyage, we have seen our dresses worn at the broadest spectrum of weddings. from black tie, to whimsical, to classic to boho, #linyage knows no bounds. But amongst those, one that forever tugs at our untethered heart strings is that of the Boho Bride, and the many ways this look can take shape.

One of the top ways we recommend to brides who are beginning their dress shopping journey is to assess the venue. This may seem like an obvious fact but you’d be surprised how many brides we’ve seen try to wear something that is not conducive to their environment–– in turn, fidgeting with their dress and feeling distracted. if you are an outdoor bride, embrace your environment, and find ways to incorporate it, too.

Are you an outdoor bride-to-be? Perhaps your ceremony and reception are inside but you know you want the dreamy golden hour photos in a field near by. Whatever the case may be, we are here to serve you some serious boho-inspo, by way of a recent styled shoot we were lucky enough to be a part of with our Omaha showroom Noa Brides.

a few tips to create the ultimate Boho vibe :

  • Movement // Having material that coincides with the elements of nature to play off of one another is a huge bonus. Not only does it provide you comfort, but it looks effortless while remaining polished. Note: wind blowing in a skirt makes for one dreamy photo!

  • Lace // Obviously we are bias to this material but for good reason— nothing screams bohemian quiet like the vibe lace gives. Think Stevie Nicks in her heyday–– when lace is done right, it is ever-feminine without feeling too over the top.

  • Florals + Plants // When you utilize florals and natural elementals (especially a mixture of dried and fresh!) you are fully embracing a free-spirit, incorporating what exists as is to complete or compliment the look. Can you even handle the crown made out of pampass grass? Our hearts. . .

  • Think Sustainable // If it isn’t in a sustainable linyage gown, maybe it’s in your dried florals that can withstand the test of time! Or maybe you are repurposing decor that you borrow, or shopping vintage to adorn details. This is not specific to Boho, but it certainly is encouraged when incorporating the aesthetic of it.
